It is with pride and enthusiasm that IDNR-TV announces its commitment to produce a series
that will help the public at large to better know, understand and discover and learn the values, way of life and traditions of the First Nations. In a high demand on the international tv markets of content dedicated to surviving topics who can inform and educated better than the first nations?
Among others Grand Chief Matthew Coon Come and Regional Chief Ghislain Picard have endorsed this project.
Mr. Coon Come:
"The North and First Nations are among Canada's best kept secrets. Our knowledge of living in nature, the wisdom of our elders, our culture, our language and our traditions are fascinating. I congratulate IDNR-TV for the initiative to realize a series dedicated to us. I am convinced that IDNR-TV will be an excellent ambassador for First Nations. This will be an opportunity to become better known and share our values. "
"Our peoples, who have been present from time immemorial on these grandiose territories, are gaining a better understanding of the history and the fundamental heritage of this country." By this docu-reality, INDR-TV will contribute to the collective Cultural, artistic, political and historical reach of our communities and our people We will be proud to participate in the content of this promising and positive initiative, "said Ghislain Picard, Chief of the Assembly of Quebec-Labrador First Nations.
At a time of great climate change and related issues, this project will satisfy the thirst of the general public to return to the sources of a way of life intimately linked to nature and the environment.
To live, to survive, to work, to hunt, to cook, to love, to educate, to heal in the roughness and isolation of the North, this is what will be presented to the audiences. All delivered in the purest tradition of the document truth, colored by the legends and customs of different indigenous peoples.
IDNR-TV hopes that this series will highlight and recognize the rich contribution of First Nations to the advancement of the Canadian reality. A contribution too long ignored.
In the wake of the findings of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada, which has positively diagnosed the reality of Aboriginal peoples, this series will counterbalance the negative perceptions of Aboriginal peoples in the not-too-distant past.
With this project, IDNR-TV hopes to help break down the existing barriers to these peoples, to combat the prejudices they still face, and to increase public interest in Canada and the First Nations.
